My name is Monica Shanley, I was born and raised here on Cape Cod, and I love my home and all that it has to offer! Growing up, I loved taking pictures of anything that caught my eye--a beautiful landscape, sunsets on the water, or my friends and I having fun on the beach. I graduated from Barnstable High School with my sights set on going to a college that got me away from those cold New England winters! After spending two years at St. Mary's College of Maryland as an English major, I transferred to the University of Rhode Island where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Since then I have been living and working on the Cape, and discovering more about my passion for photography.

Working in real estate photography allows me to keep discovering the beauty of where I live every day. I see the art of what I do in every house I step into; the scratches on the floor from the family dog, the eccentric wallpaper in the bedrooms, tiles and countertops and cabinet colors chosen with care, the children's height measurements on the kitchen doorframes--each and every detail tells the story of a life lived in that place, each home as unique as its inhabitants. I don't just feel like I'm taking pictures of a house, I feel like I'm getting a glimpse of a soul.  

In my spare time, I love spending days at the beach and boating with friends, spending time with my husband Kevin and our golden retriever Hallie, reading as many books as I can get my hands on, listening to Taylor Swift, and eating copious amounts of pizza.
